I'm not dead, a la Pink.

I must do better at this blogging thing. Alas, I HAVE been somewhat busy.

The folks (and therefore I, their tenant, of sorts) are moving. Or would like to move. Are taking the steps needed to move. Whatever. The last couple of weeks have been spent furiously cleaning, packing, taping, bleaching, scrubbing, folding, stacking, etc in an effort to prepare the townhouse for its market debut. What I find exceptionally frustrating here is that there is no guarantee yet that we will in fact be moving. No offer has been made/accepted on a new house, nor has the current one been sold. It is still a possibility that when all is said and done, all that will change is the amount of crap stored in our home. Though, I'm certain it will reaccumulate soon enough should that be the case.

The silver lining here, as I'm optimistically choosing to see it, is that when I do get a job and can afford to move out, most of my crap is packed and ready. It may take several years and/or involve a pair of high-heeled boots and a corner for this to transpire, but hey.

In other news, I have been sick this week. Actually, everyone has been sick this week. Can't help but notice this recent bout of illness for everyone comes just as the weather is starting to improve around here, as this winter's way of saying "Fine, I'll go, but you will not enjoy this. This will not be over quickly." Five bucks to whoever can tell me what movie I ripped that off of.

I'm feeling relatively ok now, sitting at Starbucks as I was kicked out of my house for fear that I might mess it up. Jaimee is flying in tonight--I'll pick her up, and hopefully feel decent enough to stay up and chat for awhile. Word is she's staying awhile though, so this is good. I missed her.


I had meant to write a deep and philosophical post, but honestly, as I'm sitting here, cannot remember the event that triggered the idea. So I guess that will have to wait.
